The short version. No application published by XYZ Makes LLC sells or shares your data for advertising, and each one lists exactly what it collects in the Applications section below. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and makes no request to any third party. If you email the studio, it has your address because you sent it.

Who this is

XYZ Makes LLC ("the studio") operates xyzmakes.com and publishes software under the same name. Questions about anything on this page go to info@xyzmakes.com, and a person answers them.

This website

The site is a set of static files. There is no account system, no database, no advertising, no analytics package, and no tracking pixel. Nothing on a page you load is fetched from another company — the typefaces, the icons and the scripts are all served from this domain, so no third party learns that you visited.

  • No cookies. The site sets none. If you choose a colour theme, that choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key xm-theme. It never leaves your device and is never sent to a server. Clearing site data removes it.
  • Server logs. The site is served through Cloudflare, which records ordinary request metadata — IP address, timestamp, the page requested, browser user-agent — for security, abuse prevention and keeping the site up. That is a legitimate-interest basis under GDPR Article 6(1)(f). The studio does not use those logs to build a profile of you and does not combine them with anything else.
  • No forms. Contact is a plain email link. Nothing you type is submitted to this site, because there is nothing here to submit it to.

Email

When you email info@xyzmakes.com or support@xyzmakes.com, the studio receives your address, your message, and whatever your mail client attaches to it. That correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful — an active enquiry, a support history, or a record required for tax or contract purposes — and is not used for marketing, not sold, and not shared except where the law requires it. Ask and it will be deleted.

Applications

Two things are true of every application the studio publishes, and they do not change from one to the next:

  • Nothing is collected that the application does not need to do its job, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising — ever, by any application, under any circumstances.
  • Each application's entry appears here before it is submitted for review, naming what it collects, where that goes, and how long it is kept. An application without an entry has not been released.

Nothing is on the public App Store yet. Three applications are in testers' hands through TestFlight and notarised builds, and all three are built so that there is nothing for this section to disclose:

  • One of Them Is Lying runs its language models entirely on the device. There is no server, no cloud model and no advertising SDK. Nothing you type into it leaves the phone.
  • LittleSpoon keeps its data on your device and syncs between your own phones through your own iCloud account. The studio has no account system, no backend and no way to read any of it.
  • Aloud transcribes on the Mac. No telemetry, no analytics, and no network request except a speech model you explicitly ask it to download.

If any future application collects anything, it gets an entry here naming what, where it goes and how long it is kept — written before the application is submitted for review. If you are using something published under this name and have a question about it, email support@xyzmakes.com.

Children

Nothing here is directed at children under 13, and the studio does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent the studio personal information, email info@xyzmakes.com and it will be deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to its processing, or to receive a copy. In practice the studio holds very little — for most visitors, nothing at all beyond a server log line. Email info@xyzmakes.com and you will get a real answer within 30 days. There is no fee, and you will not be asked to create an account to ask.

The studio does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under California law. There is nothing to opt out of.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes. Material changes — anything that alters what is collected or where it goes — will be described in a short note here.
